Now that the Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to allow Maurice Jones-Drew to “test the free agent market” it is almost a sure bet the running back who spent his first eight years with the franchise will not be back in 2014.

Team general manager David Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley obviously have other ideas about who will carry the mother load for the team.

Now, the process begins. The only way I see the Jaguars and Jones-Drew coming to terms on a new deal is if other NFL teams lowball him and see him as an aging player or as “damaged goods.” If there are teams out there who would take a hard look at him, Miami and New England first come to mind. Put the Colts on that list with Cleveland and Oakland as well.

The biggest question now at running back is who fills the slot, who comes in and moves the chains and who can be the bell cow this team needs to help the offense grow? Here are five names this team should consider.
