Jamaal Charles Kansas City Chiefs 27

New Orleans Saints 24

An offseason of nightmares for the New Orleans Saints has poured over into the regular season as the Saints have fallen to 0-3 after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City Chiefs:

Jamaal Charles had his coming out game of the season as he ran wild on the Saints' defense for 233 yards on 33 carries.

Peyton Hillis went down with an ankle injury and was seen in a walking boot on Monday.

Matt Cassell finished with 248 yards and one interception. His worst game of the young season.

Dwayne Bowe was targeted a ridiculous 16 times and was able to bring down seven of them for 79 yards. Bowe is a target monster and his production can be counted on weekly.

New Orleans Saints:

Drew Brees was supposed to have a game of the year type day and there were even whispers of him getting to 500 yards against a poor Chiefs' defense. That however was not the case as Brees turned in a 240 yard and three touchdown performance. Rather low in the yardage totals for a guy like Brees.

Darren Sproles finally recorded his first carry of the season, seven to be exact, for 62 yards. Unlike the first two weeks of the season he did not record a single catch.

Pierre Thomas had a poor game rushing (6 att 11 yards) but partly made up for it with 55 receiving yards on four receptions.

Lance Moore led the team in targets (7) and brought in four of them for 70 yards and one touchdown. Marques Colston is not 100 percent and it showed on Sunday as he only had 40 yards on three catches while being targeted only four times.

Jimmy Graham was held to four catches and only 16 yards but was able to get into the end zone.
