It was reported (12/4) by ProFootballWeekly that Jon Gruden and the Raiders were in talks to bring Gruden back as Head Coach.
Less then 24 hours later, those rumors were shut down, as is every other Jon Gruden rumor that ever starts.
Still, one can only imagine the Raiders would be quick to kick another head coach to the curb to bring in Chuckie.
This team isn't remotely close to competing, in what is becoming a stronger division, so I wouldn't expect Oakland to be his next destination.
At least eight teams come to mind that could use a new head coach next year, and you can bet they will all roll out the red carpet to try and persuade current Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden.
Gruden being the reputable, tough, Super Bowl winning coach he is, will make his choice on his own terms, when the right team approaches him.
As an offensive minded coach, one can only imagine he would want to be with a team that is offensively ready to perform week one.
Don't doubt it, a dozen teams will contact the Super Bowl winning coach, but only one will get Chuckie in 2013.
