Tim Tebow With the 2012 NFL regular season officially in the books, many teams are beginning to look toward 2013.

With all of the story lines that surround the upcoming offseason, one of the most notable will no doubt be the future of current New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

A recent report stated that a potential move to the Jacksonville Jaguars was essentially a done deal.

However, as we have seen countless times in the past nothing is definite when it comes to NFL transactions. After all, a Tebow trade to Jacksonville was thought to be certain when he was auctioned by the Denver Broncos, until the New York Jets swooped in and made the unexpected acquisition.

As we wait for things to officially unfold with Tebow, recent history has proven that anything can happen. Listed below are a few potential destinations that are within the realm of possibility.

St. Louis Rams: While the Rams' quarterback situation seems to be locked up with former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford, the team reportedly made an offer for Tebow when he was last available.

It stands to reason that the franchise would at least consider pulling the trigger when he hits the market this time around. The Rams may very well be able to do what the Jets failed to miserably at accomplishing by instituting an effective offensive playbook around Tebow’s skill-set.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals are one of the most intriguing teams in the NFL. They have a lot of talent on their roster, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, but their quarterback situation became a disaster as the season progressed.

The team showed that they can be a good team going 4-0 to start the season with Kevin Kolb was playing well, but after suffering a season-ending injury, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley, and Brian Hoyer simply could not get the job done losing 11 of their final 12 contests.

It is clear that the Cards will be looking to add a quarterback to their roster this offseason, so a guy like Tebow has to at least be on their radar.

San Diego Chargers or the Kansas City Chiefs: These two teams could be interested in Tebow for the same reason. After very poor 2012 campaigns, both teams are expected to clean house with their coaching staffs, and possibly their rosters.

While the Chiefs are more likely to add Tebow as a candidate for their starting quarterback position (The Chargers are unlikely to part ways with Philip Rivers), if either team elects to bring in an offensive-minded head coach (possibly Chip Kelly from the University of Oregon), a move for Tebow could follow.

New England Patriots: When former Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels selected Tim Tebow in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the franchise had high hopes that the duo would lead the team to a successful future.

However, McDaniels was fired shortly after and returned as the offensive coordinator with the Patriots. Tebow was also replaced shortly afterwards when he was traded to New York. If New England were to make to move to add Tebow to their roster, it would give current head coach Bill Belichick another offensive weapon to add to his arsenal, but it would also reunite Tebow with the man who initially drafted him.

While all of these destinations are purely speculation at this point, it seems as though they all have their own unique reasons for considering adding the former Heisman Trophy winner.

After spending the duration of the 2012 season as a benchwarmer for the dysfunctional New York Jets franchise, it is clear that he will be ready and willing to play for and reestablish himself as an NFL-caliber quarterback with any other franchise in 2013.
