The Eagles vs. Bengals on Thursday Night Football.
This was a complete team meltdown.
The Eagles amassed four fumbles, one interception and one of their punts blocked by their own team.
The game began with a Jeremy Maclin fumble on the second play from scrimmage.
On the next possession the punting unit takes the field.
Unfortunately, rookie linebacker, Ryan Rau, who only plays on special teams didn't know his team was punting so he stood on the sideline. What was he watching?
On this very same punt wide receiver Marvin McNutt tried to block a Bengals rusher only to get pushed into the punter. McNutt blocked the kick.
Then things got bad. The Eagles allowed 24 points in a span of 3:23.
Three straight possessions went interception-fumble-fumble. Followed up by another fumble when defensive lineman Cedric Thorton tried to catch a short kickoff.
It wasn't a professional football game. It was an audition for the new Three Stooges movie.
I think the Eagles got the part.
What were the top 10 blunders of 2012 in the NFL? Yes, there were some major gaffes, but it also depends on where you put your allegiance. But in the end you can't hide the gaffes on any given Sunday or Thursday.
It seemed every week something unbelievable happened in the NFL. From the replacement officials to the Philadelphia Eagles to Mark Sanchez to post-game press conferences, it was all a mad dash to inanity.
Who dashed into the top 10? No. 1 will probably not be a surprise, but the other nine?
Check out the list. There has to be something I missed. Tell me about it.
