Mathieu had his career at LSU an had to miss the 2012 season due to off field issues.
Until his dismissal the "Honey Badger" was having an amazing career and had first round potential.
Mathieu won many awards during his time at LSU including: Consensus All-American, First-team All-SEC, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, the Chuck Bednarik Award, and the Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP.
The Dallas Cowboys moved up in 2012 to take cornerback Morris Claiborne with the sixth overall pick in the Draft only to finish 19th overall in the league in passing defense and 22nd against the run. They also missed the playoffs with an 8-8 record for the second year in a row.
Claiborne recorded 55 total tackles, with one interception and one touchdown as a rookie. Hopefully for Jerry Jones' sake he was getting adjusted his first season as a Cowboys cornerback.
With few cornerbacks being taken in the 2012 Draft; here are 10 defensive backs that teams should consider with their top picks of the 2013 Draft.
