The 2012 offseason was a busy one for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they fired head coach Raheem Morris, and hired first-time NFL head coach Greg Schiano. Tampa Bay also had some notable free agent signings which included wide receiver Vincent Jackson, offensive lineman Carl Nicks and cornerback Eric Wright.

Tampa Bay also had one of the best drafts in the league, drafting both safety Mark Barron and running back Doug Martin in the first round. While the Buccaneers did not make the playoffs in 2012, they did improve on their 2011 record of 4-12.
