San Francisco 49ers Christmas List: 3 Things Their Fans Are Wishing For

As San Francisco 49ers fans across the nation sit on Santa's proverbial lap this year, three wishes seem to appear over and over. The question is, will Santa answer with the "you'll shoot your eye out!" excuse, or will Old Saint Nick joyfully grant you your wishes, since of course, he knows how good you've been this year. We'll let you be the judge.
Wish number one for most San Fran fans seems to involve Alex Smith, especially if you've followed him since his Utah days. Smith has been working hard ever since joining the 49ers, in order to make a name for himself, rising from the bench to produce numbers (for example: throwing for 67 TDs already in his NFL career.) Niners fans want to keep watching this star rise to become a top ten NFL quarterback.
Next up on the 49ers' fans Christmas list is a present that fans want opened to be able to open on Christmas Eve; to beat the Seattle Seahawks! Too often in the past, fans have seen the Niners get too worked up, eventually blowing their chances at becoming Super Bowl Eligible. Getting the win on Saturday is a crucial point in San Francisco's quest for Super Bowl glory.
Last item on our holiday list seems to involve the up and coming star of Vernon Davis. Much like Alex Smith, Davis has risen from the benches to prove he's got what it takes to be a winner. With six years of playing for San Francisco under his belt, the times Davis does get to take the field, 49ers fans take notice. During their match up with Seattle in September, Davis had a team high of five receptions. Though he has a long way to go in order to hit numbers comparable to those of Jerry Rice, fans continue to hope that 49er's head coach, Jim Harbaugh, will give Davis the playing time required to prove that he has what it takes.
So, as fans of the San Francisco 49ers open their presents this year, will they see the team they've so desperately wished for? I guess, we'll just have to wait and see...
