No. 1     Look For Bryce Brown To Have More Of An Impact In The Running Game

In the Eagles opener on Monday night, the run game was almost unstoppable.  Lesean McCoy totaled 31 carries for 184 yards and a touchdown.  He’s obviously going to be one of the top backs in the league this year as long as he stays healthy.  But his health may be in danger if he continues to tote the ball 30+ times a game.

There’s no doubt that McCoy will be the main part of the run game for the Eagles on Sunday and for the rest of the season.  But as the game goes along and the Eagles pull away from the Chargers Bryce Brown will get more touches, if for nothing else, to preserve McCoy.

Brown showed last year that he is a capable back when McCoy is absent and if the Eagles continue to run 77 plays a game, Brown will continue to see an increase in his role.  Look for Brown to get his first touchdown on the season on Sunday.

No. 2     Michael Vick Will Air It Out

The Chargers did a decent job against the Texans ground game, only allowing 120 yards and no touchdowns to Arian Foster, Ben Tate, and Shiloh Keo.  The new faces in the Texans secondary did a terrible job defending the pass.  If Matt Schaub can pass for 329 yards and three touchdowns you can bet that Michael Vick is going to have a field day.  The only thing that will keep Vick from putting up big numbers will be if the Eagles put the game out of hand early, like they thought they had on Monday night.  Expect Vick to throw for 350+ yards and at least three touchdowns.

No. 3     Combined, the Eagles and Chargers will score over 60 points

We already know what the Eagles are capable of doing on offense.  And we know that their defense has some holes in it, as evidenced by the Redskins near comeback on Monday night.  While the Chargers have a lot to work on, both offensively and defensively, they showed that they are capable of scoring points.  Philip Rivers completed less than fifty percent of his passes, but did connect with seven receivers on his way to throwing four touchdowns.  For those fans who like a game heavy with offense (all of us), this will be a fun game to watch.  There will be huge individual stats when the clock hits 0:00 and the final score will be more than 60 points combined.  Look for the Eagles to win 38-28.
