Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins travel to Arlington to meet the Dallas Cowboys in Cowboy Stadium.
The Cowboys need this win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Redskins, with the possible exception of head coach Mike Shanahan, believe their playoff hopes are still alive. It's a short week. The Redskins' are traveling. And Tony Romo is 5-0 on Thanksgiving Day games.
Bring on the Bold Predictions:
1. Tony Romo will pass for 392 yards, three touchdown and no interceptions
Romo shines on Thanksgiving Day and in the month of November. For Thanksgiving Day games Romo is averaging 267 passing yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions.
The Redskins' defense have allowed the fourth most passing yards in the NFL.
2. Robert Griffin III will succumb to the moment and the short week
Griffin III is having a good rookie season. Last week he had a great game. Griffin III passed for four touchdown passes. He was 14-or-15 for 200 yards. He had a perfect passer rating of 158.3. He also had 84 yards on 12 carries. But those stats were against the hapless Philadelphia Eagles.
Griffin III will be playing on Thanksgiving Day for the first time. He will be playing on a short week for the first time. He will get to meet DeMarcus Ware for plenty of face time.
The Cowboys' defense has allowed 106.6 rushing yards. They allow 211.4 passing yards and four interceptions and 20 sacks. DeMarcus Ware has 10 sacks.
RG3 will have 173 yards with one interception. He will be sacked or hurried three times. And he will run for one touchdown.
3. The Cowboys' defense will live up to their potential
The Cowboys' defense is good. Turkey day they will be great. They will outshine the Cowboys' offense
DeMarcus Ware will have two sacks. Rookie Morris Claiborne will have one interception for a pick six. And Brandon Carr will have three pass deflections.
The Cowboys' are always a wild card. RG3 is a stud who is asked to do a lot for a rookie quarterback.
On Thanksgiving Day RG3 and the Redskins' offense will be gobbled up by the Cowboys' defense. The Redskins' defense will be the turkey.
Happy Turkey Day!
