Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed quarterback Chad Henne to a two-year contract, according to a report from the Florida-Times Union.
Henne is expected to compete with Blaine Gabbert to be the Jaguars' starting quarterback. Jacksonville selected Gabbert with the 10th overall pick of the 2011 draft, but he struggled in his rookie season, connecting on 210-of-413 passes for 2,214 yards and 12 touchdowns with 11 interceptions in 15 games -- 14 starts.
Henne has spent his entire four-year career with the Miami Dolphins after they selected him in the second round of the 2008 draft out of Michigan.
He has thrown for 7,114 yards and 31 touchdowns with 37 interceptions through 36 games -- 31 starts -- for Miami, but he was limited to just four games last season after separating his non-throwing shoulder on October 2.
