Wide Receiver, Pierre Garcon, announced via his Facebook page that he signed a contract with the Washington Redskins. The deal is reportedly worth  $42.5 million over a 5-year span. The 4th year player set career highs in receptions (70), yards (947), and tied his TD high with (6) in 2011.
Garcon will join Santana Moss, Leonard Hankerson, Anthony Armstrong, and Jabar Gaffney in the Redskins receiving corps. Known for his speed and threat to stretch the field, Garcon should emerge as one of the Redskins top playmakers in 2012, especially if the team drafts Robert Griffin III with the 2nd overall pick.

The 25 year-old Wide Receiver also thanked the fans in Indianapolis for four years of support. Garcon joins Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, and Joseph Addai as players who were cut from the Colts this off-season. It is also being suggested that Reggie Wayne will also sign with a new team this year, leaving the Colts and Quarterback Andrew Luck (speculating) very thin at the skill positions.

It was initially believe the Redskins would make a push for Wide Receiver Vincent Jackson, but league insiders believe the recent fine the NFL handed to the Redskins for front loading their contracts during the un-capped year may have prevented the team from acquiring Jackson.
