If you would have told me a year ago that someone on the Redskins made the NFL's top 10, I would have woken up from my dream, because surely the Redskins being competitive anytime soon was out of the realm of possibility.
Mike Shanahan would love to hear that statement.
After possibly the best draft in Redskins history, they came into the 2012 season with their superstar franchise quarterback and possibly one of the most underrated players in the NFL, Running Back Alfred Morris.
10 wins later, and Morris' stats after his rookie year were nothing short of amazing.
1,613 YDS, 4.8 YPC, 3 FUM, 13 TD
As an Eagles fan, I dread my team having to play the Redskins twice a year. Morris and RG3 will only get better, and I'm not looking forward to it.
All bias and joking aside, I know talent when I see it, and Morris oozes it.
Morris and his Pro Bowl quarterback Mr. Griffin may very well grow to be the best QB/RB duo of all time if their production keeps up.
The 2012 season has come and gone in the blink of an eye.
Fear not, we were spoiled with more than enough highlights and stories to keep us occupied until next season.
We saw records drop that we thought would never be touched again, and we saw players come back from gruesome injuries, only to have their best seasons to date.
So what constitutes a Top 10 Player?
Obviously skill and statistics will play a major part in the ranking.
Another part is how much of an impact the player had on their respective teams.
With that said, let's take a look at who made the list in this year's "Top 10 Players Of 2012".
