Don’t expect too many big games from running backs this week.  Only eight players received a rating over 80.

RUNNING BACK RATING =
(Average Rushing Yards Per Game + Average Receiving Yards Per Game + (Average TDs Per Game x 50) + (100 yd. games / games played x 50) + (Carries Previous Week x 2.5) + (Opponent's Average Rushing TDs Allowed Per Game x 20) + Opponent's Average Rush Yards Allowed Per Game) / 4

90-100: EXPECT A GREAT GAME
Wait a minute, how did Marshawn Lynch get in this group?!

LeSean McCoy, PHI (@NYG): 100

Matt Forte, CHI (SD): 97.6

Adrian Peterson, MIN (OAK): 96

Marshawn Lynch, SEA (@STL): 94.1
Lynch has scored a touchdown in each of his last five games and had over 140 yards from scrimmage in Week 9 and Week 10.  That’s how he got in this group, fool!

Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC (@CLE): 93.8

Fred Jackson, BUF (@MIA): 90.5

80-89.9: SOLID RB1s
Expect good things from these two.

Michael Turner, ATL (TEN): 89

Steven Jackson, STL (SEA): 86.2

60-79.9: COULD GO EITHER WAY
Best of luck guessing which of these 16 players will have a good week.

Frank Gore*, SF (ARI): 79.2

Michael Bush, OAK (@MIN): 76.7

Ryan Mathews, SD (@CHI): 76.3

DeMarco Murray, DAL (@WAS): 75.6
Will the return of Felix Jones hurt his production?

Ray Rice, BAL (CIN): 74.5
Rice goes up against the NFL’s second best run defense.

Darren McFadden*, OAK (@MIN): 71.5

James Starks, GB (TB): 71.3

Daniel Thomas, MIA (BUF): 71

Chris Johnson, TEN (@ATL): 70.4
Is CJ2K back?

Reggie Bush, MIA (BUF): 69.2

BenJarvus Green-Ellis, NE (KC): 66

Beanie Wells, ARI (@SF): 66

Brandon Jacobs, NYG (PHI): 65

Mike Tolbert, SD (@CHI): 64.5

Shonn Greene, NYJ (@DEN): 63.6

Felix Jones, DAL (@WAS): 61.8
Good luck winning back your job as the Cowboys’ starter, Felix.

50-59.9: DON’T EXPECT MUCH
Possible flex starters.

Cedric Benson, CIN (@BAL): 59.9

LeGarrette Blount, TB (@GB): 59.1

Jonathan Stewart, CAR (@DET): 58.9
Personally, I’d definitely pass on both Panthers, but I’m not a mathematical equation.

DeAngelo Williams, CAR (@DET): 56.3

Maurice Morris, DET (CAR): 55.7

Jackie Battle, KC (@NE): 50.9

DON’T START ANY REDSKINS’ RUNNING BACKS!

I’m not kidding!  Don’t do it!

Ryan Torain, WAS (DAL): 48.3

Roy Helu, WAS (DAL): 47.6

Not Enough Data: Chris Ogbonnaya, Lance Ball

WEEK 10 REVIEW

Overall, Week 10 was a good week for running backs.  As the equation predicted, Arian Foster had the week’s best performance.  LeSean McCoy and Matt Forte performed well, but neither quite lived up to their 100 running back rating.

Using FF Champs standard scoring, of the eighteen running backs who received a rating over 65, only three failed to get at least ten fantasy football points (Ryan Mathews, Mike Tolbert, and Beanie Wells).  (This is not including Frank Gore or Willis McGahee since both were quickly injured and barely played.)  Of the 11 RBs who were rated below 65, only one (Rashard Mendenhall) scored over ten points.
