How can you mend a broken football team? It’s hard to imagine the Carolina Panthers before the 2013 NFL season not only going to the playoffs, but winning the NFC South and beating the New Orleans Saints for the division. It just shows how good quarterback Cam Newton has become and how great the defense in Ron Rivera’s scheme is when facing some of the best talent in the league.

The Panthers this season go into 2014 with new receivers and a rebuilt offensive line – two units that were decimated by releases, retirements and free agency over the course of the offseason. Should the Panthers win the division again, Rivera will be in line for another Coach of the Year Award and Newton will more than like hold an MVP trophy.

Personally, I don’t see it happening. Here is a look at the Panthers and their 2014 opponents with predictions of each game.
