Eevery dark tunnel has a light of hope. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been in the tunnel of darkness. Two sesaons of six total wins and an offense struggling for an identity while teh defense learned on the fly and showed some real moxie in the second half of the season.
Make no mistake - this is Gus Bradley's team. The intensity, the heart, the desire. Everyone wants to play for Gus. It was evident in the comments made by free agents who brought their game to North Florida and EverBank Field. Bradley has an infectious quality to him that screams, WINNER.
Thsi season will be different. Chad Henne is the inclumbent starter, not having to deal with competition from Blaine Gabbert. The backfield will be stronger with Toby Gerhart carrying the lion's share of touches and there will be more touches for Denard Robinson.
Cecil Shorts comes back from injury for a second straight season and now - in the final year of his contract - he will hungry for more time on the field and more green in his pocket.
And whoever the Jaguars take in the first round of the NFL Draft, you figure it will be a player who can help this team sack the quarterback or catch the football.
It looks like it is going to be solid season for these Jaguars - schedule not withstanding. Two games on the road to start the season, First home game against Pittsburgh. The game in London against Dallas after a game on th road with Cincinnati. I am predicting eight wins for this team, but they won't come easy. Here is a look a the Jaguars regular season.
