The City of Brotherly Love has seen many successful teams over the years, but since the mid-40s, the Eagles haven't quite met expectations -two Super Bowl losses and numerous playoff failures have left the famously impatient fans itching for that breakthrough season.

Despite this apparent inability to take home the big prize, the Eagles have had no shortage of outstanding players, and my biggest regret is many will not make this short  list.

Those who do have earned their place in the annals of Eagle lore, and while some may feel that others are more deserving of their place on the hallowed Mount Rushmore of Philadelphia, there is no denying these four belong.

Before we continue I'd like to mention Harold Carmichael, a long time Eagle receiver who, at 6'8, is presumed to be the tallest WR in NFL history and truly stood head and shoulders above the rest.
