After a huge free-agency haul, Chip Kelly and the Eagles are sitting a lot more comfortably than they were a month ago.

They are free of Asomugha's mega contract, and have quietly changed the entire defense in the process.

The notable free-agent acquisitions include LB Connor Barwin, DT Isaac Sopoagoa, SS Patrick Chung, FS Kenny Phillips and the CB duo of Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher.

With such a big defensive haul through free-agency, many believe the Eagles will surely attend to the offense. It's definitely an option, but don't count out the defensive prospects just yet.

Chip Kelly hasn't revealed his draft thoughts on the No.4 pick for obvious reasons, but he has given the media the impression that he has narrowed his choice down to a talented five players.

Dropped the ball on the final stat. Apparently I have dislexia, because Watt weighed in at 290 before the draft. My mistake, still stand by Jordan though.

Kelly has some serious hype to live up to. He knows who he wants, let's see if he has any draft savvy. Could trade down and still get his man (Jordan). There should be teams scrambling to get a superior position, are there any Washington-types that'll bet the farm? Should be interesting.

Agree 100%. Hoping maybe St. Louis or Minnesota deals there first rounders to the Eagles. We saw Atlanta do it to grab Julio jones.

I'm mostly interested in Kelly et al, shaking up the league. We need to bring back the razzle-dazzle like Jack Patera? (Is he kin to Joe?) brought with the early Seahawks teams. The point is to win, not how, but how many...

For a general summary of the 8 players the birds signed in week 1 of free agency...

also, be on the lookout for my new article (awaiting approval) on Ifeanri Momah, the monstrous receiver they signed last weekend.
