NDNotre Dame travels to Boston College to participate in the annual "Holy War" game. The only two Catholic teams in the FBS meet each other every year.

It is a bitter rivalry. A game where records and BCS standings are irrelevant. It is the "Holy War".

While it is bold to call a college football game a "Holy War", these predictions may be bolder.

1. Manti Te'O will solidify his Heisman standings

Last week Notre Dame's defense was average. Average is under achieving for Te'O. This week Te'O will regain the confidence of the Heisman voters. Last week against the Pittsburgh Panthers, Te'O had seven tackles, 0.5 sacks and no interceptions.

Te'O will double his numbers from last week. Against Boston College Te'O will have 14 tackles, one sack and three interceptions. Before halftime the announcers will be campaigning Te'O for the Heisman.

2. Defensive end Stephon Tuitt will destroy Boston College's offensive line

Tuitt ranks fifth in the nation in sacks with 10. You may not know his name because he plays on the same defense with Heisman hopeful Manti Te'O. You better recognize.

This week against Boston College Tuitt will have five sacks. But he will once again be overshadowed by Te'O.  See bold prediction number one.

3. Running backs of Notre Dame will have a monster game

Boston College's defense ranks 109 out of 120 teams. They are allowing 478.6 yards per game.  Their run defense is allowing 233.33 yards per game.

Notre Dame's offense rushes for 200 yards per game. They have rushed for 18 touchdowns.

Notre Dame's running tandem of Theo Riddick and Cierre Wood will each rush for over 150 yards.  Together they will surpass the 233 yards Boston College gives up. They will rush for 325 combined yards. Quarterback Everett Golson will add 85 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

Notre Dame is 9-0. Even with the undefeated record they need to start collecting impressive wins.  Last week's overtime victory of the Pitt Panthers was not an impressive win.

In order to keep their BCS aspirations alive Notre Dame will need to stay undefeated and win with authority. This Boston College game will start them on the right track.

If you are a Notre Dame fan think of the "Holy War" was a rebound affair.
