The first quarter of the NFL season has flown by, some teams have surpised so far, and some have been somewhat of a disapointment so far. I will be breaking down my five matchups and who is guaranteed to lose. So without further ado here are my week five, 5 teams guaranteed to lose.
Falcons Over Jets - The Falcons have been a team that has disapointed so far this season, starting out 1-3 and losing 2 straight. Twice already this year the Falcons have failed on 4th down in the redzone on game deciding drives. The Jets have been a bit of a surprise so far with a 2-2 record. I'm not saying they're a good team, by no means are they a good team, Geno Smith turns the ball over to much. The Falcons are in a desperate spot now and will get the win and improve to 2-3.
Rams Over Jaguars - The Rams and Jaguars are both having bad seasons right now, but the Jaguars are by far the worst team in the NFL this year and will be lucky to win one game. The Rams are a young and talented team that hasn't performed up to there potential yet. Playing in the dome in St. Louis, the Rams will start to put things together and come out with the win.
Broncos Over Cowboys - The Broncos are in my opinion the best team in football. They are 4-0 and haven't even had a close game yet, Peyton Manning is playing his best football of his career, he has talent at every skill position, and the defense is solid. The Cowboys are the 27th ranked team in the NFL in opponent passing yards a game, giving up 304.5 yards a game. Peyton Manning and the Broncos are going to have a field day on the Cowboys defense and will improve to 5-0.
Saints Over Bears - The Saints are a totally different team this year after a terrible defensive showing all last year. They are 5th in the NFL in opponents passing yards, giving up 192.3 yards a game. On the flip side they are 2nd in passing yards a game, getting 338.3 passng yards a game. The Bears are coming off a loss to the Lions and will be looking to get back on the winning track. Unfortunately it will not be this week, The Saints defense has been to good, along with there offense. The Saints improve to 5-0.
Patriots Over Bengals - The Patriots are coming off an impressive win over the Falcons on Sunday Night Football. The young receivers are finally looking like they belong in the NFL, and we should be seeing Gronkowski's first action of the season, and possibly Amendola. The Bengals have the talent but are not putting it together so far this season. They are coming off an ugly loss to the Browns where they only put up a total of 6 points. The Patriots get the win and improve to 5-0.
