The New York Giants are on the verge of doing something that few reigning champions do -- missing the playoffs!
After a stellar start, followed by a few bumps in the road, the Giants were seemingly back on track.
However, they've since stumbled again. This time around, it may cause them to watch the playoffs from home.
The Giants need a few Christmas miracles and a prayer to back into the playoffs, but they'll have to help themselves as well.
New York needs losses by the Bears, Cowboys, and Vikings, plus a Week 17 win over the divisional rival, Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles have to familiar faces back in the line-up this week in LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick, however the two superstars won't be enough.
Although they need the help, the Giants won't be the lone reason that they miss the playoffs. It may be too little, too late; but Eli and the boys will pull it off at home in Week 17.

The last week of the 2012 NFL regular season has crept up on us! It's been an exciting season as always. We've had several upsets, coupled with victories that we saw coming miles away. We've had a few surprises as far as those entering the playoffs, as well as those who will be missing them this season.
After regaining my "mojo" in Week 16, going 5-0, I've come back this week to end the season with a BANG! The Football Guru is back in stride again! We have to end the season on a great note and that's just what we'll do!
