This was the hardest list I have had to make since joining Football Nation.

Narrowing down a list of around 50 players to about 10 is not an easy task. However, it is very fun.

Do I take Roger Craig or Ray Rice? Boomer Esiason or Randall Cunningham? Jack Lambert or Mike Singletary? What about Howie Long or Michael Strahan?

Those were just a few of the decisions I had to make.

Among the criteria that goes into the selections are career accomplishments, Super Bowl victories and the overall pick the player was selected at.

I also did players from the merger until the start of the 2010 season. I feel a player should have at least three seasons under their belt before they even belong in a conversation such as this.

Here are the top 10 second-round selections in NFL history. Enjoy!
