The following is a list of confirmed signings for the New England Patriots and a brief synopsis of each player.
T.J.Moe-WR- Missouri, 5'11 1/4 204 lbs.
TJ has been aptly described as a Wes Welker type slot receiver. He must have caught Bill Belichick's eye at the combine and through film. His 6.53 3-cone drill is one of the top five 3-cones run this year. His ability to run over the middle and catch everything thrown his way probably had Bill thinking Wes has a brother. Difference being TJ is bigger the Wes and just like Wes nobody wanted to draft him.
Zach Sudfeld-TE- Nevada, 6'6 253lbs 4.78 40 time.
Zach was one of the nation's most productive tight ends in 2012, catching 45 passes for 598 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Cory "Porkchop" Grissom-NT- USF- 6'1 306 lbs.- 40 time was 5.21
Porkchop was the anchor on the South Florida Defensive line. He showed an ability to take on double teams and he was able to shed blockers. He's not very mobile but is stout in the middle.
Matt Stankiewitch- OC-Penn State-6'2.5"- 302lbs. and ran a 5.4 40.
A center with good inside technique and quick first step. He is the second player that Bill has tapped from his former OC Bill O'Brien at Penn State.
Kembrall Thompkins-WR- Cincinnati- 6'1 -193 lbs. 4.5 40, 6.88 3 cone
While playing Wide Receiver at Cincinnati he played both the wide out and slot receiver positions.
Ryan Allen- P- Louisianna Tech- 6'2 - 229 lbs.
Ryan represents serious competition for Zoltan Mesko. He was a two time Ray Guy award winner the equivilant to winning the Heisman Trophy as a punter.
Quentin Hines-RB/ST- Akron State-5'9-191 lbs.
Not much information on Quentin.
Brandon Ford- TE- Clemson- 6'4- 245 lbs.
Versatile Tight end who can play inline and out wide as a H-back type TE. He caught 40 passes for 480 yards in 2012 along with 8 touchdowns.
Stephon Morris- CB-Penn State-5'8, 188lbs. 4.38 40 (he was timed at his pro day at 4.20).
Not much more to add. This is a pure speed look-see.
Elvis Fisher- OT- Missouri- 6'5-296 lbs.
He has great moves but had too many injuries for any team to draft.
Chris McDonald-OG-Michigan State-6'4-300 lbs.
Chris is the younger brother of current Patriot Nick Mcdonald and is considered a prime candidate for the Dante Scarnecchia school of offensive lineman, otherwise known as the practice squad.
Josh Kline-OL-Kent State-6'3 307 lbs. 5.00 40.
He played every line position at Kent State and is considered an excellent run blocking lineman. He also had a private workout with the Patriots in March.
Kanorris Davis-Troy State-5'10 211 lbs. 4.6 40
37" vertical,10'1" Broad Jump,4.20 short shuttle,7.07 3 cone,and 21 reps at 225 all recorded at the combine.
Brandon Jones-Rutgers University- 6'0 191., 4.5 40.
He led the Scarlett Knights in several statistical categories including 5 interceptions an 9 passes defended, his hands are considered good enough to switch to receiver.
Ben Bartholomew-FB/TE-Tennessee-6'2 245 lbs.
This is the most up to date list that I could provide. There may be more signings by the Patriots and there may be those who reneg from this list, which is common when prospective UDFA's see the level of competition.
