But honestly, what excuse do you need to watch a football game? This is the National Championship. It's for all the marbles (I guess I had another one in the arsenal).
Notre Dame has the #1 defense in the country, allowing just 10.3 points per game. Alabama has the #2 defense, giving up only 10.7 points per game.
The best part of this matchup is that it appeals to everyone. Even football purists will love this game, because of the traditional styles of play, and the hard-nosed defense.
Do yourself a favor, and watch the National Championship.
This is the game that everyone's been talking about. This is the matchup everyone's been waiting for. This will surely be one for the ages. Can it get any better than this? #1 Notre Dame (12-0) and #2 Alabama (12-1) will meet in the Discover BCS National Championship on Monday at 8pm. The game will be played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
