With the 2013 season already consigned to the memory banks, the Vikings are looking forward to a more successful campaign in 2014. Having moved to strengthen their coaching staff with the appointment of Mike Zimmer and Norv Turner amongst others there nevertheless remain several big questions hanging over Minnesota coming into the free agency and draft periods of the offseason.

How the Vikings respond to these questions will shape not only their 2014 campaign but also the long-term future of a successful franchise in Minnesota. Obviously improving a terrible defense is high on the priority list, but in appointing Zimmer they have made the first steps in addressing that issue.

Bearing all that in mind, and in no particular order, here are the issues that the Vikings need to address prior to the 2014 kickoff.
