The Jets proved us right again last week toppling the overrated Saints in convincing fashion and four other teams went on to record upset wins with the Redskins, Eagles, Browns, and Chicago coming through for those brave enough to back them. So, what happened to our other picks? Well, Buffalo struggled without Thad Lewis as we thought they might and Texans kicker, Randy Bullock, managed to sink not only our win but possibly also the Texans’ season with three misses in a game that was ultimately decided by three points. Amazingly the Texans are sticking with Bullock despite having a league-worst 61.9 percent conversion rate on the year.

To put things in perspective, there are five kickers who remain perfect on the season and eleven above 90 percent. This (non)move seems like they just don’t want to admit they made a mistake drafting the kid. With such an unpredictable leg on the team, backing the Texans the rest of the year may be a heartbreaking experience for everyone but it also means that we might find an otherwise solid Texans team playing the ‘dog more often.

Once again the week has started out with a victory for the ‘dogs with the Vikings snagging their second win for the season against a struggling Washington team–hopefully a good sign for the rest of the week. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter @MJPennywark so you never miss a pick.
