Hosts Steve Bennett and Don Russ interview the biggest names in sports media and pop culture each week on Football Nation's The Sports-Casters podcast.
Their guest this week is Kenny Albert of Fox Sports. Kenny is one of the only sportscasters to have announced games for the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.
Albert talks with the Sports-Casters about the being able to call two of Adrian Peterson's last three games and explain how powerful and explosive he looks in person. As we have said on the show, BEST COMBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD RACE EVER.
He also talks about the NFC's race towards the Super Bowl. Kenny has called all the contenders and has an interesting perspective on how he thinks the race will play out.
"Honestly, I think it is wide open. There are a number of teams who could make it" said Albert.
Albert also talks about the loss of his beloved sport of hockey but says he remains optimistic there will be games this season.
Albert also says:
- Drew Brees looks took on too much this season trying to be coach and quarterback
- He gives Jim Harbaugh a ton of credit for sticking with Colin Kaepernick
- The Packers are surging at the right time
- The Falcons need to prove it in the playoffs
- Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis should also be considered for comeback player
Steve and Don kick off each podcast with "3 Things" but manage to tackle so much more. In this week's segment they discuss the upcoming 15th week of NFL action, an update on the bounty gate, and yet another tragedy in the NFL. Steve and Don close the show with a listener email about the Hesiman and One Last Thing.
