Mark Weisman The Hawkeyes are playing vanilla football and Michigan has found a way to deal with the injury of Denard Robinson and still get it done.

This game seems pretty cut and dry on paper but here are three bold predictions for this game that might surprise you!

Michigan loses this game if Robinson plays

All you have to do is look at the 2010 Hawkeyes win over Michigan and know that Iowa handled Robinson, keeping him in check through the air but Robinson did run 18 times for 105 yards against them before being injured in the 3rd quarter.

The Hawkeyes have a new defense this year, one that isn't as stellar as most Hawkeye teams from the past, but they still generally keep most runners in check and keep games very close. Michigan needs this win badly and if Robinson plays, they will not get this win.  Robinson will be running for his life and trying to knock off the rust at the same time. This is not the time to put him in the game!

Mark Weisman will win this game for Iowa

Weisman for Heisman has been the favorite saying of Hawkeye fans this year. The fans love this guy after four straight games over 100 yards including a 217-yard performance against Central Michigan on September 22nd.

The Hawkeyes' running game has been a nightmare for three years and Weisman brought hope to the fans until he injured his ankle and hasn't made it back to the field for more than a handful of carries. Jon Miller of Hawkeye Nation reported Saturday morning that Weisman had a great week of practice and is ready to play. If Weisman gets going, so do the Hawks. Look for Weisman to run for over 100 yards today and if he does, it will be an Iowa upset.

Michigan beats Iowa by four touchdowns:

Michigan is favored by 17 and the over under is 47.5 for this game. I project Michigan will get close to the 47.5 by themselves. Let's face it. Iowa is beat down, Iowa has no offense, Iowa's playbook seems like it was stolen from the back of a Captain Crunch cereal box and Vandenberg just can't get it done.

Iowa fans knew it would be a rebound season but the scary part is, there is no indication of any improvement in the next years to come. Something needs to be done to spark this team to be competitive today, their bowl hopes are dead and they are walking into Michigan Stadium to face a Big Ten contender in Michigan. I really feel Iowa loses big today. Michigan 41, Iowa 17
