The Green Bay Packers are a team that builds their roster primarily through the draft. And when I say primarily, I mean entirely. In fact, no team in the NFL has more homegrown players on their roster than the Packers.

Ted Thompson is known as one of the better drafting GMs in the league today. However, much or most of his success has come from the second round and on, while the first round hasn't been all that kind to him. Outside of Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews and maybe even Bryan Bulaga, the rest of his first rounders haven't exactly been stellar.

Green Bay is a team that can be a perennial Super Bowl contender, and while the book is still out on the likes of Nick Perry, Datone Jones and Derek Sherrod, they can't really afford to "miss" on any more first round picks.
