5-5-2 last week. Hopefully better this week. Some pick, shall we?

ILLINOIS +11.5 at PENN STATE

Illinois is on a three-game SKID. This skid is so ugly, I'm beginning to doubt if Purdue is the worst team in the Big Ten.

The Nittany Lions don't look that much better; the OT win over Michigan was impressive and boosted how everyone has valued them, but are they that good? Blown out by both Ohio State and Inidiana, close home loss to UCF...what's to make of this?

We will soon see. The benefit of the doubt is granted, don't let me down PSU.

WISCONSIN -9 at IOWA

Wisconsin sure was written of quick. After the loss to Ohio State, nobody is talking about them. They're 99% out of the Big Ten Championship, but they still have two future NFL runningbacks. They're still one ref gaffe from being 6-1. They've been held under 30 points just once.

I love watching the Badgers. It's like a Saturday edition of a pro team. B1G!

MISSISSIPPI STATE +12 at SOUTH CAROLINA

South Carolina has won just twice by a margin of 12 or more. The first was the season opener against UNC and the other was against the awful Razorbacks. Connor Shaw is questionable (isn't he always?) and I've never been a fan of his back-up Dylan Thompson.

ARIZONA -15.5 at CALIFORNIA

Cal sucks. Of their last six games, the Bears have lost them all by an average of 27 a piece (18 was the closest). I would have taken this line at 25.

GEORGIA -3 at FLORIDA

Good news! One of these teams gets to end their losing streak at two! With Todd Gurley back, Georgia looks more prbable to end such streak. The Bulldogs may have lost back-to-back, but they still looked competitve.

Florida didn't. Florida scored 23 points in the past two games. Offensively inept, defensively thin; Florida may have one of the worst years of recent memory in 2013.

MICHIGAN +4 at MICHIGAN STATE

Will Sparty's D show up? Will the Wolverines put up 40+? Just give me the points.

KANSAS +28 at TEXAS

Only the high-powered offenses of Baylor and Texas Tech beat the Jayhawks by over 28. Texas has been pretty good, but not that that good offensively.

AUBURN -8 at ARKANSAS

In the last three games, Arkansas has been outscored 134-17. Is the line really eight? Really?

TENNESSEE +10.5 at MISSOURI

At home, Tennesse is capable of contending with anyone. On the road? Not so much. Missouri is still in the driver's seat of the SEC East, they won't allow themselves to stuble against the Vols.

OKLAHOMA STATE +1 at TEXAS TECH

Guns Up!

MIAMI +21 at FLORIDA STATE

I've been critical of Miami since before their almost-meltdown in Chapel Hill. I should pick the 'Noles to blow them out. That scenario is most likely to happen. But I just have one of those feelings. No evidence, no stats, just a feeling.

NEVADA +20.5 at FRESNO STATE

Derek Carr 4 Local Legislature
