Looking for that diamond in the rough? Well waiver wire is the best way to do it without trading away your team.
You are able to win a championship with a strong waiver wire pick up. In this article, I’m going to give you players that will help you win.
Even if you don’t want any players, it’s always smart to pick them up to prevent anyone else from picking them up to help their team.
I will list four different players (top in each position).
- Julius Thomas – He exploded in Week 1, but don’t expect that to happen every week. We may have seen his ceiling which is still very high for a tight end. Denver has way too many options for me to feel safe with Thomas as a top five tight end.
- Terrelle Pryor – The Raiders' offense is terrible, but that gives Pryor opportunity to run the ball and possibly throw the ball. Yes, he isn’t very accurate, but as the season goes on I think he can build chemistry with his teammates. He was one of two players to rush for 100 yards in Week 1.
- Joique Bell – He is the perfect handcuff to Reggie Bush. He is a stout, fast back who has big-play capabilities. He is in a system that is almost perfect for him. He is able to catch the ball on swing passes and make a big play. He is a starter for a flex position in PPR leagues.
- Julian Edelman – Tom Brady wants wide receivers he can trust. As of right now, he doesn’t really have that. Danny Amendola is banged up. Kebrell Thompkins was targeted often in Week 1, but couldn’t produce with the opportunities he was given. I think Edelman is going to be the best out of all the Week 2 waiver wires. I understand if you go with Thomas, but don’t sleep on Edelman.
