Fantasy Football Week 3: Atlanta Falcons at San Diego Chargers
Both the Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers are off to a 2-0 start; each team would love to notch that third win.
The Chargers haven't looked as impressive as the Falcons thus far into the season but this game should have plenty of fantasy wealth throughout.
San Diego Chargers (2-0): Philip Rivers lost his No. 1 receiver to free agency but is starting to build a nice chemistry with new no. 1, Malcom Floyd.
Rivers could have a decent week against a Falcons' defense down their top corner.
Ryan Mathews is set to return this week and his snaps are not to be limited per latest reports. Floyd has had two solid weeks in 2012 and should expect a third against the Falcons' secondary. Robert Meachem is still not on the same page with Rivers and is ultimately a very inconsistent fantasy option.
Antonio Gates was a late scratch last week but has had plenty of rest and should suit up this week.
Good starts: Philip Rivers, Malcom Floyd, Antonio Gates
Middle of the road: Ryan Mathews
Bad starts: Robert Meachem, Eddie Royal
Atlanta Falcons (2-0): Matt Ryan could push for an MVP award come season's end if he can keep up the pace that he is on. Michael Turner has been terrible and Jacquizz Rodgers is not yet involved enough to be trusted.
Julio Jones had what will be easily his worst game of the season last week. Hey it's good to get them out of the way early -- play Julio with confidence once again. Roddy White was the receiver who had the big game last week and will put up good numbers all year.
Tony Gonzalez is still doing it like he always has. I expect to see another dunk over the goal post again this week.
Good starts: Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez
Middle of the road: --
Bad starts: Michael Turner, Jacquizz Rodgers, Harry Douglas
