Most of us are now aware that Peyton Manning has chosen to sign with the Denver Broncos. The decision came after meeting with the Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.

We have also all probably read and heard about how the great Denver is going to do with Manning under center, but this article will look into the world of fantasy football. Here are some of the projected individual stats for Manning and other key players on the Broncos offense.

Peyton Manning
There is not much you can say about Peyton Manning that hasn’t already been said. The guy is a legend. With that being said, signing him to a five year contract at almost $100 million almost made me laugh. I mean, they did say the decision would not be all about the money.

Anyways, Manning will benefit from playing the Raiders twice, but will likely struggle against the Chiefs. He will put up pretty respectable numbers, but not the 5,000+ yards that we saw from Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford.

Final Numbers: 14 games played; 3,900 yards; 68 percent completion; 34 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Willis McGahee
Mark these words... Willis McGahee will get hurt during the 2012 NFL season. Do we know when or for how long? Nope, but at 30 years old without a rushing threat at quarterback, he will get hit and he will go down.

Many people used Denver’s running game as a big reason why Manning should choose Denver. Newsflash, they have a 30-year-old who wants a raise after one good year and a china doll that needed a DUI charge to get back into the news for a day.

The Broncos running game will have its moments, but when it is not working you will see Manning audible into passing plays a lot like he did in 2010 with the Colts.

Final Numbers: 190 carries for 780 yards with six touchdowns in 13 games.

Demaryius Thomas
Also known as the other guy they drafted in 2010, Demaryius Thomas made a name for himself after scoring on the first play of overtime against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wildcard round of the playoffs.

At 6’3 235 pounds with a 4.39 40 time and great hands, Thomas could quickly develop into Peyton Manning’s favorite target. If Manning actually lasts the five years that his contract says he is supposed to, then Demaryius Thomas will become one of the best receivers in the league.

Final Numbers: 90 receptions for 1,215 yards with nine touchdowns in 15 games.

Eric Decker
When Time Tebow actually threw the ball in 2011, his favorite target seemed to be Eric Decker who caught 44 passes for just over 600 yards.

Decker also has good size at 6’3 and will benefit a ton from having Manning under center. I could see him posting similar numbers to the 2010 version of Pierre Garcon give or take a few yards, touchdowns, etc.

Final Numbers: 74 receptions for 970 yards with seven touchdowns in 16 games.
