The Philadelphia Eagles have resigned Desean Jackson to a 5 year contract worth $51 million, the team announced on Wednesday.  The specifics of the deal have yet to be released, but reports indicate it could include up to $18 million guaranteed.

Jackson was scheduled to make $9.5 million under the franchise tag in 2012.  Jackson becomes the third cornerstone player the Eagles have resigned in the past two days, joining Todd Herremans and Trent Cole.
