Drew Brees must go after the Cowboy's secondary this week in New Orleans

This week's game in New Orleans has many storylines to choose from. Rob Ryan is trying to slow down the offense of the Dallas Cowboys, the team that dropped him after last season. Sean Payton against the Dallas Cowboys. Can the Cowboy's secondary slow down the Drew Brees/Jimmy Graham connection?

None of those matter. There's only question that needs to be asked this week in New Orleans. Can the Saints bounce back after a loss to the New York Jets? With the Panthers quietly creeping up behind them, the Saints cannot afford to look in the past. Yes, they were beaten by an inferior Jets offense and oppurtunistic Jets defense. It was the perfect storm last week for the Jets but the city of New Orleans and the Saints know a little something about weathering a storm.

Brees must come out firing against a secondary that allowed Peyton Manning and the Broncos score 51 points in 60 minutes. Marques Colston was limited in practice all week with the same injury that kept him out last week but fellow wide receivers Lance Moore and Robert Meachem stepped up along-side Graham to help Brees out. The offensive line must do a better job of protecting Brees if the Saints want to rebound.

On the defensive side Ryan must continue to use exotic blitzes and contain Tony Romo. Otherwise Romo will have the oppurtunity to make himself some time to find an open receiver. Ryan's defense has given up the same amount of points in the last 3 games as they did in the first 5 games before that. Cameron Jordan and Junior Gallette must get to Romo and make him make quick decisions to give the Saints corners a chance against Dez Bryant and Terrence Williams.

The Saints know a great deal about weathering a storm. That could mean bad news for Dallas.
