Defense wins football games! Denver Broncos fans will find this to be a quote of the past because of their recent acquisitions. When Peyton Manning came to Denver, fans would have an understanding of the moving parts that would follow him. With an average defense on the other side of the ball, Manning won as a Colt by scoring with many weapons surrounding him. That's not quite the case with Denver having Von Miller as linebacker, a veteran such as Champ Bailey, and a future with defensive end Robert Ayers.
When the year 2013 came upon NFL fans, offense was what the Denver Broncos' front office loaded up on for the next season. At the running back position, Knowshon Moreno had almost 700 all purpose yards and Willis McGahee was just under a 1000 all purpose yards. Beside having running backs such as Moreno and McGahee, the Broncos drafted Montee Ball who gained 5,140 yards with 77 touchdowns while at Wisconsin. If that's not enough, the Broncos have back up backs Mario Fannin and Jacob Hester.
When I looked at the Broncos draft picks, I couldn't believe they picked wide receiver Tavarres King out of Georgia. Because of his computer like brain, Peyton Manning must need many options at the wide out position. The Broncos already have Eric Decker (85 receptions/1,064 yards) and Demaryius Thomas (94 receptions/1,434 yards) from last season. Tavarres King caught 207 passes for 3,726 yards and 37 TDs at Georgia. With the addition of the best possession receiver in the NFL ,Wes Welker, the Broncos will be unstoppable on offense.
Peyton Manning will be on his way to another Super Bowl with the following off season acquisitions on the offensive line: Louis Vasquez(Guard), Justin Boren(Guard), Quentin Saulsberry(Center), and Paul Cornick(Tackle).
Peyton Manning and the offense will win a Super Bowl in the New York City snow come 2014.
Defense, Denver, blah, blah, blah. SNOW. Snow balls not Bowls. Who's brilliant plan was this? This makes as much sense as Stuart wanting to live in the woods, then complaining of all the trees.
