Denver Broncos: 5 Reasons Why They Won't Win The Super Bowl

It all seems to be going to plan right?

John Elway signs Peyton Manning in the off-season. Manning molds the offense in to something that resembles the dominant offense from his days in Indianapolis for over a decade and Jack Del Rio has built a dominant defense that rushes the passer better than any Bronco team of recent memory.

So far so good.

But now comes the hard part. Winning in the regular season is a whole different animal than winning in the post season. Ask Manning.

And now, the level of competition has stepped up significantly for the Broncos. Through no fault of their own Denver has played the easiest schedule in the league this season.

The games against the Chiefs and Browns and Chargers and Raiders are over. Now comes the Patriots, Ravens and Texans.

Mickey-good article. You bring out some good points. As for the running back point-a good passer can overcome that one-as Kurt Warner did in '99. His running backs only ran for 111 yds. or so in all 3 games, but Warner made up for that with his clutch passing. As for the INT problem-Peyton still isn't close to my guys (Marino) Record of 10 PO games with 2 or more INT's. So, there is still hope for this year. It should be fun watching it all play out.

Now, I"ll give you the 5 reasosns why Denver will win the Lombardi: 1. They'll have the 13th man on their side playing all the postseason at home.2. You mentioned the teams that had beaten Denver and all of them won by one score or least, and this was early on whith a rusty QB trying to get on sync whith his receivers, not the same man right now and we know it for sure 3: we expect willis mc gahhe coming back from injury for the AFC championship to complement Moreno and comp.4. Peyton has never played with a top def. on his side in the past so it will take a lot of presure out of his shoulders.5. If you're thinking the Patriots will beat Denver at home just stop a moment and review the stats because last time I saw the Pats passing defense ranked at #29 which will be a field day form Peyton all night long.

to kevin's comment on the pats...peyton has always had trouble beatng the pats....the pats beat the broncos 31-21 this season when pats secondary was at it's very worse..now they have improved with corner back talib sighed during the season there whole defence has improved with the most takeaways in the nfl...brady put 6 tds on that broncos defence in last years playoffs in the first half grant you we will be playing in mile high that will be your only chance but the pats play there best when there up against it.

Wow...what a load of inaccuracies...you need to do more research if you're going to be credible...Brandon Jacobs already had one foot out the door in the playoffs last year. Ahmad Bradshaw was Eli's guy, to highlight one...I mean you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but facts are facts, and when you don't get the facts straight, your opinion is weak.

And the QB's you claim carved the Broncos up? Only Schaub had a big day Mickey w/284 yds. Brady 193, Ryan 219. Might as well throw in Brees, who passed for over 5000 again this year, but managed only 201 against Denver. As far as Moreno, he has been every bit as good as McGahee, spending his time adding muscle while relagated to the bench. He is a powerhouse runner currently. And now it looks as though the Broncos will have both of them for the playoff run. The Bronco losses came early in the season when the team was jelling. In those games they dug deep holes w/turnovers. They lost those 3 by 6, 6 and 10. the playoffs are a crapshoot for sure, and the hot team at the end prevails. Pay more attention Mickey...this team is a juggernaut!

Hey Frank...guess what? Denver is the only team Tom Brady has a losing record against in the NFL...he is 3-5 regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs...we are waiting for candy-ass Brady out here in the Mile High city...and bring on The Hoodie and McDaniels too, we wanna kick all their asses as a group.

brady is going to carve a hole into the mile high snow monkeys if paytons daddy lets him play.

Yeah...Tommy's gonna be on his back making snow angels Claven...now go eat your chowder and cry in your beer, and while your at it, drive your lobster boat into a 100ft wave.

bud, you seem pissy. I know. your mad because we know what a lobster is and chowder also. check with paytons daddy and see if he can come and play, then well see you all soon

...I am pissy...we hate the Pats here chowderhead...maybe you better concentrate on the Texans Claven, they are gonna bring some wood this time...Just concentrate on getting out of rnd 2.

Whats the matter BUD, you sound like your scared of the Patriots and trying to make every excuse for a loss. The only thing Denver has goinf for them is Peyton Manning, the rest of them SUCK. So I think your going to enjoy watching Peyton Manning and the rest of the team go down just like little Bro Eli's BIG BAG GIANTS went down. So grow up and make a comment that dosent make you look like an idiot who just wants to blow off steam! Suck it up pal!!!!!!!!

The Pats are good, but not gods. Texans will play a much different game next week. They're ticked off taboot. This is "any given Sunday" times.

The Texans are beat up and Schaub sucks. They might have two good players on their team, thats it. the Pats have a much better defense than their last meeting. OOOOHHH were scared of the big bad Texans! Yea Right!

Kubiak's play calling is what sucks. I'm convinced that card he carries around is a Denny's menu with the side-orders and desserts sections missing.

The Texans will play better when they play us on Sunday but will ultimately lose once again.
