A year removed from the Heisman trophy year of Robert Griffin III, the Baylor Bears did not start off the 2012 well as the team went 3-4 in their first seven games. The Bears turned things around in the second of the season though, going 4-1 in their last five games, while knocking off number one Kansas State, and number 23 Oklahoma State. Additionally, Baylor's quarterback Nick Florence, had the third most passing yards in the FBS with 4,121, while receiver Terrance Williams had the most receiving yards in the FBS with 1,764.
UCLA went 9-2 through their first 11 games, however they finished the season on a bad note losing twice to eighth ranked Stanford, once in the regular season and the second time in the Pac-12 Championship game. UCLA also played on offense as quarterback Brett Hundley passed for 3,411 yards and 26 touchdowns, while running back Johnathan Franklin finished the season with 1,700 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 319 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Both teams play well on offense and can score points as is evidenced by the fact that Baylor scored the sixth most points in the FBS this season with 508 and UCLA finished the season with the season with the 17th most points with 456. Expect an exciting game with high powered offenses.
