It’s obvious what Baltimore Ravens fans want most for Christmas this year: a Vince Lombardi trophy in 2012.  After getting knocked out of the playoffs last year by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens have climbed their way back to the top of the playoffs picture, furiously vanquishing their division rivals twice along the way.  There are at least three other presents, though, that Ravens fans would love to see under their trees this holiday.

1) The Ravens get first seed in the AFC for the playoffs.
If the Ravens can get first seed in the AFC, they a) get a bye and b) play at M&T Bank Stadium.  The Ravens are utterly dominant at home and having that to their advantage would be invaluable.  And the extra time to rest and practice wouldn’t hurt, either.  If they can win out and get first seed, the Ravens will be in a very good spot to head to Indianapolis in February.

2) Terrell Suggs gets Defensive Player of the Year.
T-Sizzle is having one of the best seasons of his eight-year career thus far.  He’s had 58 tackles (41 solo and 17 assisting), 13 sacks, two interceptions, six forced fumbles, five passes defended, and eight stuffs.  And the season’s not even over yet!  By the end of the season, Suggs could very well have over 80 tackles, close to 20 sacks, and 10 forced fumbles.  The guy is unstoppable!  Not giving him the Defensive Player of the Year Award for 2011 would be ridiculous.

3) Chuck Pagano stays in Baltimore.
Baltimore’s defense is notoriously good, and a lot of that has to do with their defensive coordinator, Chuck Pagano.  He has a good working relationship with his players and really knows how to get results from them.  So, it’s not surprising that his name has come up for a possible head coaching job in the near future.  With recent openings in Jacksonville, Kansas City, and Miami, Pagano is a popular and understandable name to bring up.  Ravens fans, though, would be upset to see him go.  (Terrell Suggs even jokingly stated he would give Pagano a bad reference just to keep him in Baltimore.)
