Last season eight NFL head coaches were fired on what is known around the league as Black Monday. Three of those head coaches (Andy Reid, Lovie Smith, and Norv Turner) were expected to lead their respective teams back to the playoffs, but failed to do so.

While the other five (Pat Shurmur, Romeo Crennel, Chan Gailey, Ken Whisenhunt, and Mike Mularkey) were on rebuilding teams and didn't stand much of a chance anyway.

This season there are a load of teams that are dreadfully underachieving, and that includes five teams who made the playoffs in 2012. There are also those teams who had high hopes of being competitive in 2013, but things just haven't gone their way.

So with that in mind here is a list of the eight head coaches that are most likely to get canned after the 2013 season.

Please note: this list is not based on any sources or insider information, it is based on pure speculation.

I don't think Mike Smith will get fired. He brought relevance to a franchise that couldn't put together two consecutive winning seasons. One bad season won't get him fired.

I think Mike Smith is the Saint's Jim Mora.. He brought an expect ion of winnig to a franchise that NEVER had back to b ck winning seasons. And this from a Saints guy.
As for #1, Garrett got that vote of confidence, kish of death from the Supreme being. He's gone.
