Pat Shurmur has added two more bad seasons to the dismal Browns franchise, forcing the origination to let him go Monday, the team stated.
The Browns had a very good draft this year, picking up QB Brandon Weeden and RB Trent Richardson, as well as add WR Josh Gordon in the Supplemental Draft.
With a good passing defense and a "Big 3" of second year players going into next season, the Browns give Andy Reid a good team to coach.
When Reid wasn't a head coach, he spent his time in the NFL as an offensive line or offense overall coach for 13 years.
With a young quarterback and running back, having a strong offensive line is very important. The good pass defensive Cleveland beholds means only the rushing defense is to be addressed after Reid takes over. If the Browns bring in Reid, they very well could grab a wild card spot within the next couple years.
After a 14-year tenure as Eagles head coach, Andy Reid's time is over in Philadelphia after the team's decline over the past few years. Seeing there are plenty of teams relieving their coach of its duties as the season concludes, Andy Reid could have a comfy seat in another city by next season.
Despite being in his mid-50s, Reid has stated he would like to coach next season. Reid has been fairly successful in his career, but he has only reached the Super Bowl once, which resulted in a loss to the New England Patriots. Reid may have a good chance at coaching next season, but can he find a team that can win him a Super Bowl?
