In the NFL, the difference between making to it the Super Bowl and missing the playoffs entirely is razor thin and perhaps no team embodies this more over the past few years than the New York Giants.

In 2010, they finished 10-6 which most of the time is good enough to make the postseason, but not that year.  In 2011, they won the Super Bowl but finished 9-7 which somehow got them the NFC East title, then finished 9-7 again but missed out on the "tournament" despite having a winning record.  With that said, here is a look at 5 reasons why the Giants may once again be on the "outside looking in."
