In 1934 the Lions, in their first year in Detroit after playing from 1930 to 1933 as the Portsmouth Spartans, began their tradition of Thanksgiving Day home games. In 1966 the Dallas Cowboys joined them as annual Thanksgiving Day hosts.

When the American Football League began in 1960 they also made a Thanksgiving Day game an annual part of their schedule. That first year the Dallas Texans (later the Kansas City Chiefs) traveled to face the New York Titans (soon to be the Jets). Dallas lost in a tight, high-scoring game 41-35.

With so much history and so many games to choose from these weren't easy decisions but here they are, the 10 best Thanksgiving Day games of all-time.
