Dave Holcomb is a senior broadcast journalism student and is in his final semester at Syracuse University. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania until he turned 13. Holcomb graduated high school in 2009 from Northern Highlands Regional in Bergen County, New Jersey. Last spring, he studied abroad in London, United Kingdom and saw 10 new countries during his nearly four month stay. Holcomb plans a return trip to Europe this May. Last summer, Holcomb finished his second year interning for Football Nation and also interned in Syracuse, New York announcing as the play-by-play and color commentator for the Syracuse Jr. Chiefs during the month of June. During the same month, Holcomb began producing his own podcast "Monday Morning Huddle" for Football Nation. Season one included 33 episodes, and season two will debut June 24, 2013 after his return from Europe. He aims to graduate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in June of 2013. Holcomb's favorite two things to do besides spend time with friends and family is to watch sports, movies, and television shows. His favorite two sports to watch are baseball and football. Through his first three and a half college years, Holcomb has discovered that he has a passion for analyzing things whether it is a particular sports game or the tiniest things in life. He hopes that his passion helps him achieve his dream job of broadcasting/writing sports news for television, radio or a website.
