The Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to hire interim head coach Doug Marrone to the gig full time.

After the Jags fired Gus Bradley following their week 15 loss in Houston, Marrone took over as the interim head coach and went 1-1 in the final two games of the year. Marrone does have head coaching experience as he was the head coach for the Buffalo Bills for 2013 & 2014 going 15-17 overall with one winning season.

Marrone will be the 5th head coach in Jaguars history. Jacksonville has just seven winning seasons in their 22 years of existence; four of those seven coming in their first five years under Tom Coughlin while Jack Del Rio gave the franchise their other three winning year, the last coming in 2007.

Speaking of Coughlin, he will be returning to the Jaguars for the 2017 season.

Maybe the mix of young blood in Marrone and the wisdom in Coughlin can take this talent-filled roster and turn these house cats to the predators they could be.
