It was all rainbows and sunshine for the Pittsburgh Steelers after they took advantage of a weakened Miami Dolphins team on Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field. However, several hours later a dark storm cloud loomed over Steelers outside linebackers coach Joey Porter as he was arrested outside a local watering hole. Porter was arrested outside of The Flats bar.
After being booked at the Allegheny County Jail on five charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct, Porter was released early Monday morning on $25,000 bail.
Eyewitnesses say Porter was asked to leave the bar multiple times but he did not. Porter than became physical with a doorman and that's when the police were called to the scene.
Since the incident, Porter has been put on leave by the Steelers.
